So I was reading a thread on the Etsy forums about stay-at-home-moms and how to get it all done. You don't. It's so easy to get caught up in the craziness of life and forget that they will only be little once. I'm a stay-at-home-mom to three.
I just finished giving these two crumb makers baths, stories, & a good teeth brushin. While they fought it all the way, of course.
I find it hard to love the fact they are little when someone is trying to carry the cat but really strangling him instead, while another has gotten the bag of pretzels about to dump them on the floor to share with the dog.
Remind yourself daily, hourly(if needed) that it is true they are only little once. They will only give you that "my mom is a superhero" love for a little while. Etsy and crafting can wait for just a little bit longer. So can the laundry, the dirty floor, and the dishes.
Where is kid #3? Well, she'll be 16 this week and that's a whole other story! She's still a crumb maker too just bigger and able to take better care of herself!
Just in case your little ones are being to bratty to see the light at the end of the tunnel these kids put a smile on my face every time.
